When I sychronise surtain albums they apear twice in my Iphone also though they don"t present up in Itunes as double.

You are watching: Why do i have duplicate songs on my iphone

Usualy once I view double albums it"s bereason there is one letter various in the spelling (uppersituation for example) but this is definitely not the situation. Believe me, I"ve checked.

Or the album is double in Itunes, But I can"t uncover the copy, not even via the option discover duplicate.

And the weird thing is that when I delete it in my Iphone it automaticly deletes both copy"s?

Any thought"s or idea"s?

Much appreciated.

Note: It has happend before yet through some update"s it has actually been much less regular. But now it"s happening a lot.

And I don"t synch through cloud or also Wifi for that issue.

This worked for me, have some bonus information on what I did:

Basically, had actually to unsync all music off the iPhone to wbelow it left the duplicates behind (found in Music > Songs on the iPhone).

Then on iPhone: visited Setups > General > Usage > Manage Storage > Music > Edit (height right) and hit the "delete" authorize next to "All Songs".

This took a little time, yet then it had actually ALL music off the phone. The music was still in iTunes on my MacPublication.

Then, in iTunes, via the iPhone 5s plugged into the Mac, re-checked to sync all music (that"s what I wanted) and also it re-copied my library and also playlists with NO duplicates when clicking on "Songs".

Total win - thanks!

PS - I didn"t have actually duplicates on my Mac, so that"s why I went this path.

Try unsyncing every one of the music off of your iPhone and also then syncing every little thing ago onto the iPhone. Connect your iPhone to your computer system. When you click onto the music tab, uninspect the Sync Music box and then click Apply. Once the sync is done, then disaffix the iPhone and make sure all the music has been remove, then reaffix your phone, then sync all the music you want to put ago onto the phone. Follow this write-up if you need any instructions.

Just had actually this problem today of syncing a new album to my iPhone4S and having actually it present up twice on the phone, yet just when in the iTunes library.

My difficulty was that among the songs was checked as "component of a compilation" for some reason.

Once I un-checked that and re-synced the phone, the duplicate album was gone.

You need to go via any type of albums that show as dupes making use of Cmd + I (for gain info) and also make sure all tracks match up as much as album name, component of a compilation, and so on Good luck!

I have had the very same issue- first iTunes wouldnt let me add a couple of albumns as a result of absence of space even though I had 6gb cost-free, then when I had gained some even more memory it synced however doubled up on the songs on my phone also though the songs werent replicated on my iTunes library. Can anyone define this? Before iTunes updated it simply used to include the recently added albumns onto my phone through no concerns.

Tried the unexamine of the "part of a compilation" box, and also after a synch rather of eexceptionally track appearing twice in one album (that I JUST bought from the slrfc.org store), it saw eextremely track showing up as soon as in two albums. In my background of chasing problems on iPhones, a fix has a lot more to carry out through slrfc.org addressing the code over "rotate this on/off and also hope it works".

Going to be a lengthy time prior to I buy anything in the slrfc.org store aobtain.

I likewise had duplicates on a recently purchased album on the iPhone. iTunes additionally mirroring a duplication as soon as I connected the iPhone to iTunes, however one version had a shadowed affect. I kept playing about trying to de-duplicate and also finally stumbled upon success a couple of moments earlier.

I rerelocated the whole album from the iPhone - while having actually schosen my iPhone in iTunes, I made a decision the songs, consisting of duplicates because I was lazy and also planned to simply include the album ago after rerelocating the duplicates in their entirety. Then clicked Sync.iPhone album de-deplicated. However before 1 version stays on iPhone

The outcome on iTunes when associated to the iPhone now, is a shadowed variation of the album - of course definition it was purchased and deserve to be downloaded any kind of time using iTunes, which as I sassist it remains in complete glory on my iPhone.

So I think the trouble must"ve been I had actually manually dragged over the album from iTunes as soon as I was manually including various other albums not thinking that any kind of song purchased by means of iTunes would be easily accessible without having to do the drag and drop. I carry out not purchase many albums through iTunes for this reason why I forgained that this would take place.

Hope that helps others!
